Volunteer at the Lansdowne Theater
Description
Volunteer ushers have a passion for live entertainment, enjoy interacting with the public, and are willing to assist in emergency situations. Ushers will join us before the start of performances and stay throughout the show to assist with scanning tickets, guiding patrons to their seats, distributing programs, and answering questions.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Ushers will be asked to:
- Arrive 90+ minutes before a performance to assist with pre-show preparation and attend Usher meeting
- Interact with and proactively approach patrons
- Assist venue staff with various duties, including emergency protocols
- Utilize email to manage scheduling and communication with venue staff. All communication will be via email and/or scheduling app.
Ushers must be:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to read and scan tickets
- Able to navigate theater with minimal lighting
- Courteous and friendly
